  • May 10: Summer CMAA Show opening reception was well attended (about 20+/-)...the raffle for the Canaan dancers started out strongly and should continue on Saturday during the town wide yard sale and into May and June...get the word out...we seem to be lagging in that department ...don't forget to volunteer to sit...we NEED YOU!!!

  • GAP ( literary magazine) is looking for submissions for the second issue. We are looking for poetry, short essay, short story, on the topic of home/memoir. The submissions can be dropped off for me (Amy Thurber) at the library or at the gallery and they must have Name (first and last), Address, and contact information in case of questions for editing.

  • You can download information for 501 c3 status and paperwork here-the paperwork is very lengthy, but if you take the time to read it and fill it our properly, it's a very simple process to obtain non-profit status. http://www.irs.gov/charities/article/0,,id=166625,00.html http://www.irs.gov/charities/index.html http://www.irs.gov/charities/article/0,,id=156733,00.html Hope that helps!

  • Most important point of November's meeting...
    CMAA will be holding only
one ANNUAL members' Meeting in September (for elections)...
the CMAA board will continue meeting on the first Thursday of the month (to which all members are welcome to attend)
attendance of the same few members and officers at both meetings has necessitated this change...the by laws will reflect this change
    feedback welcomed..rosemary
